This is the blog of Dr Matthew Barnard, a British philosophy academic. Matt has published on post-Kantian philosophy, most notably on the work of Martin Heidegger in his monograph Heidegger's Conception of Freedom: Beyond Cause and Effect. He also works closely with the British Society for Phenomenology, particularly in supporting their conferences and events. More about Matt's academic profile can be found on his main website.

Matt is currently working on a new project on the philosophy of AI, so many of his posts at the moment will cover this topic. However, he also writes more generally about philosophy and the issues relating to Higher Education.
